Based in sunny Nelson, FSL Foods has been in the business of selling frozen fruit and vegetables for 20 years. They source quality frozen produce from local and international growers and are proud to be the people behind leading retail brands such as Fruzio, Goodness Kitchen and The Berry Fix.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to move into a role and business that will have real opportunity for growth and development. It’s a high-growth company that has ambitious plans for further growth across NZ and internationally.
About the Role:
As the Operations Manager you will provide leadership, direction, and co-ordinate the activities of the operations team. You will be responsible for delivering on the objectives agreed whilst building and leading an effective and high performing operations team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end business process from source of supply to customer delivery ensuring that health & safety and quality are at the core of every aspect of the operations.
This role requires an energetic, self-motivated, team player who can drive efficiencies and costs across all aspects of operations whilst retaining product quality and integrity. You will be a hands-on people manager who can create a positive, performance focused working environment.
You will understand the entire operations function and will ensure plans and processes are in place to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital as well as strategic and efficient procurement.
About You:
You will have proven experience in the food industry, managing both supply chain and manufacturing. Your background and experience working with production machinery and equipment will also be important.
Your leadership and team management experience will be second to none and your outstanding communication skills will shine through constantly as you lead the team to achieve targets and objectives.
