As a Financial Services Officer, you will be responsible for conducting timely bank balance reconciliations for all bank accounts. Your keen eye for detail will help ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and in the right place at the right time.

About the Role:
As a Financial Services Officer, you will be responsible for conducting timely bank balance reconciliations for all bank accounts. Your keen eye for detail will help ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform bank balance reconciliations for all accounts
- Clear reconciling items and effectively maintain financial and bank account records
- Proactively address discrepancies to keep reconciling items to a minimum
- Journalling of items
- Work collaboratively with various teams to resolve issues and take measures to improve processes in a timely manner
- Provide other financial accounting assistance and administrative support as and when required
About You:
Previous bank reconciliation experience in a high-volume environment is essential. Your meticulous approach ensures accurate financial records and efficient processes, contributing to the department's financial integrity.
Experience:
- Proven experience in providing efficient and effective accounts administration services
- Ability to manage high volumes of work within tight time frames, adhering to required quality standards
- Familiarity with financial software, preferably Oracle or similar (desired)
- Experience in building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience in the public sector (desired)
