About the Role: 

As a Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities:

•    Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
•    Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
•    Assist in the preparation of annual reports and other financial documents.
•    Monitor financial transactions and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
•    Participate in audits and liaise with auditors to ensure successful outcomes.
•    Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
•    Stay up-to-date with financial trends, regulations, and best practices.


About You: 

Qualifications and experience required:
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting
•    Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.) preferred.
•    Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within a Crown entity or government organization.
•    Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
•    Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
