They organise a significant cultural festival by the same name, Te Matatini which is the pinnacle event for Māori performing arts. With the shift in understanding and recognition of how Kapa Haka contributes to the wellbeing of our diverse communities in Aotearoa, Te Matatini has identified its place as a leader to support the growth and potential of Māori.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role:
In this role, you’ll oversee, lead and manage a variety of initiatives and projects related to achieving the Te Matatini strategic vision and outcomes. You will develop project plans and deliverables and ensure the team remains on track to meet these within budget. You’ll prepare and present status reports throughout the project and conduct post-project evaluations to ensure lessons learnt inform activities and implementation.
This is a full time, permanent position based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
Mōu | About You:
As someone who has managed multifaceted projects you will have excellent interpersonal skills, you will also have effectively dealt with multiple varied stakeholders. You will have experience with different project management methodologies and the ability to plan and manage budgets. You will also be comfortable operating within a tikanga and kaupapa Māori environment.
This role is integral in the growth of Te Matatini.
