  • They have a long-term contract in place with OneNZ and there is a significant opportunity to grow the business through increased asset utilisation, acquisition of additional customers, and new investments. To support this exciting journey, a new role of Client Relationship Manager been created. This is a unique chance to join them as they build-out the business and play a key role in their account management/sales team.
  • Based in the Telco patch in central Auckland CBD, in lovely modern offices offering a diverse and empowering workplace, this business offers one day WFH flex and the use of a pooled car if required.


About the Role:
 
  • Reporting into the experienced Chief Commercial Officer, this critical senior level Client Relationship Manager role is tasked to deliver an exceptional sales and customer experience through the development of deep relationships with mobile network operators, critical services, and telecommunications carriers. Ensuring Fortysouth are the partner of choice through an in-depth understanding customers’ strategic imperatives and delivery plans, ultimately driving revenue growth and loyalty.
  • As a trusted partner this role will develop strategic customer plans/relationships and associated delivery plans, including day to day customer management, support with RF and engineering trade off discussions, while also identifying new market opportunities with emerging technology. For example, an upcoming complex 5G equipment change/upgrade, and new tower creation.
  • As you’d expect this is a commercial role, so you will need to deliver mutually beneficial pricing models/options, that you then evolve and maintain regarding the pricing structure and schedule.
  • Using a sophisticated CRM programme, you will manage your planning and reporting against target and sale pipeline meeting targets set, ultimately driving demand by turning customer conversations into tangible revenue outcomes.
  • This role requires a high level of internal stakeholder management, working closely with the project delivery team to provide updates to customers and creating innovative customer solutions. This role is also responsible for ensuring lease calculations/customer equipment and invoicing is correct.
  • You will be someone who can identify opportunities, build trust and strong commercial relationships with your clients – you will be setting up lots of coffee meetings. While working collaboratively with this complex organisation and variety of internal stakeholders as well. This role is not for the faint hearted!
  • This role is based in Auckland with leadership/growth opportunities for the right candidate.


About You:
 
  • We are looking for an exceptional Client Relationship Manager/Senior Account Manager who has B2B experience in the Telco industry to be strategic partner to mobile network operators, critical services, and telecommunications carriers. Ideally you will have knowledge of RF and engineering to credibly discuss colocation of towers, upgrades etc. You will have a proven record of driving revenue/meeting targets.
  • We are also open to strong relationship builders who are Project Managers for tower builds/upgrades, RF engineers, candidates working with networks in the build area, or other relevant experience in the tech infrastructure world (fixed or mobile). This type of experience is required to credibly build relationships and strategic sell to your customers.  
  • You will be highly commercially savvy and comfortable leading and articulating sophisticated pricing models to optimise revenue outcomes.
  • You will be highly analytical with strong attention to detail, along with outstanding verbal and written comms distilling complex data.
  • You will have a customer first focus, a solutions-oriented approach with experience building relationships at Executive & multi-level with customers. You will have led negotiations and be highly results driven with your exceptional communication and organisational skills. You will be comfortable working with multiple internal/external stallholders with demanding timelines, so excellent project management and problem-solving skills are required.
  • You will have high EQ alongside sound knowledge and understanding of customer requirements in the digital infrastructure space. You will also be solutions focused to credibly discuss client’s challenges/requirements and be highly collaborative with your internal team to provide excellent levels of service to provide opportunities to showcase solutions to meet client’s needs.
